Vestige legal
Privacy Policy
A plain-language privacy document for the Vestige website and self-custodial dApp interface.
Last updated: June 9, 2026
Vestige is designed around self-custody and transparent onchain state. This policy describes what the interface may process, what the blockchain makes public, and what Vestige should never request from users.
01
Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Vestige website and dApp interface may process information when you browse the site, connect a wallet, or interact with Vestige smart contracts.
Vestige is a self-custodial protocol interface. The interface does not create user accounts, custody private keys, or request seed phrases.
02
Information processed by the interface
The interface may process wallet addresses, selected network, transaction metadata, vault state, token balances, form inputs, timestamps, and contract read results required to render the user experience.
User-entered values may include heir addresses, token contract addresses, transaction amounts, inactivity periods, grace periods, and optional claim receiver addresses.
03
Onchain information
Transactions submitted to public blockchains are generally public. Vault creation, deposits, withdrawals, check-ins, heir configuration, timestamps, claims, and related events may be visible through block explorers or other indexing tools.
Vestige cannot remove or modify information that has already been published to a blockchain.
04
Information Vestige does not request
Vestige should never ask for private keys, seed phrases, exchange credentials, identity documents, wallet passwords, or custody access.
If any website or interface claiming to be Vestige asks for this information, do not continue and do not sign transactions from that interface.
05
Third-party services
Wallet providers, RPC providers, block explorers, hosting infrastructure, GitHub, documentation platforms, and future analytics or monitoring tools may process information under their own policies.
Users should review the privacy practices of the wallets and infrastructure services they choose to use.
06
Contact and updates
This policy may be updated as the protocol, website, or dApp evolves. Material changes should be reflected by updating the date shown on this page.
